Warped Tour 07 (...yes, this is hip hop related)

For those of you who are familiar w/the Warped Tour, you know that it is a rock out fest! It is certainly not heavy on the hip hop tip! However, if you need your beats like you need your vitamins, then the Warped Tour has that for you.

On this years line-up is P.O.S. I can get down w/P.O.S. Oh yeah!!! Now, you know if I am geeked about something, its got to be good. Now, don't get it twisted, I'm not sayin march down to your nearest Warped Tour venue and get tix for you and your posse. NO! But if Warped is on your agenda, then you need to be around when P.O.S. hits the stage. He is the real deal and reppin the Rhymesayers camp (oh, and he can rock out...).

But you will also be able to get happy w/K-Os, who has Canadian/Caribbean roots. I really like K-Os' projects because they elude genre definitions. There's a bit of rock, rap, reggae and more - must be the Canadian/Caribbean roots, eh? Go K-Os!

All-righty then hip-rockers ... The Warped Tour is on the northcoast on Thursday! Be about it.

The Cleveland Party Trifecta

I attended a set in Cleveland the other night @ the House of Blues' Foundation Room. If you've never been to the Foundation Room, you need to check it out, just to see how the other folks live. It is swank in ways that are so royale that it warrants a different language. It is, indeed, lovable.

But that's not what I'm here to rant about. No, Cleveland's premier DJs and promoters were out on the town (actually they were all working).

Pictured here are three good looking fellas and if you want to have a party, they should all be involved. They can rock a party like none other.

Pictured (from left to right) are a fun and frolicly Terry Urban, the affable Arnold Hines and the non-dancing, but ever so cute Mick Boogie.

But your feedback ... yeah, it's welcome any time. Bring it on.

Rock the Bells Fest

The Rock the Bells Festival line-up looks stellar! I mean, if you are a true hip hopper, you are 'bout it and are beyond hypie about this showdown. Old schoolers are stoked about Public Enemy and Cypress Hill; but maybe it's the inclusion of the Wu that will get you goin ... then there's Nas, Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch and many others.

They've got 17 dates (and it seems they keep adding them; and the line-up changes a bit from city to city). I have yet to purchase a ticket because my future is so undecided, but maybe I should just live a little and do the damn thing ... who knows if it will go down like this next time, huh?

Their webbie is pretty active ... check that out.
