The Roots Return to the Northcoast - AGAIN!

... and I am not mad about it. Well, maybe I am a bit mad about it, since the show falls on a Monday! What is that all about ... ? I'll try to stop pouting long enough to give you the scoop:

The Roots w/MC Lyte & Big Daddy Kane

308 Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland

@ 7 p.m.

Tix begin @ $32.50 ... (Ticketmaster)

Okay, so I'm mad about the ticket prices too ... I've never paid more than, say $20 bucks for a Roots concert and frankly, I don't recall paying $20. Yeah, I know, I've had some Roots concert freebies in my past and it wouldn't hurt to cough up the extra cheese, heck, BDK-Big Daddy Kane is on the bill ... oh, and since it does not look as if I will catch the Rock the Bells Fest, this will be the best way to get my hip hop fix.

Get to coughin hip hoppers, get to coughin ... kfox

The Cleveland Party Trifecta

I attended a set in Cleveland the other night @ the House of Blues' Foundation Room. If you've never been to the Foundation Room, you need to check it out, just to see how the other folks live. It is swank in ways that are so royale that it warrants a different language. It is, indeed, lovable.

But that's not what I'm here to rant about. No, Cleveland's premier DJs and promoters were out on the town (actually they were all working).

Pictured here are three good looking fellas and if you want to have a party, they should all be involved. They can rock a party like none other.

Pictured (from left to right) are a fun and frolicly Terry Urban, the affable Arnold Hines and the non-dancing, but ever so cute Mick Boogie.

The Hip Hop is Dead Tour!

It's true - NAS is hitting the road! Knew he would, just a matter of when.

How about that tour kicking off in good ole Clevopolis ... that would be Cleveland, Ohio for those who don't do Cleveland speak. Monday, April 2nd is the date @ the House of Blues. Tix begin @ $34.

Nas is out there for about a month and covering lots of ground from the dirty south, across the Canadian border and of course the left coast.
